Please be patient and respectful, as some are experiencing their first summer jobs and are still learning customer service skills.

Even if you are not feeling like getting out on the water, we have benches and places to enjoy the views of the lake at our location. Ice Cream treats and soft drinks are sold at the Marina.

All rentals are weather dependent. If safety is a concern (wind, lightening etc.) we may refuse rental of any equipment and may close for the day. Please understand that safety is important and weather conditions can change quickly. Our staff (all summer students) work hard to ensure that everyone enjoys their visit and the watersports activities, and will not refuse a rental unless there is a safety concern.

If you have a boat of your own that will not fit under the bridge into the main lake from the public boat launch located at John Peake Park (near Tim Hortons), we have a boat launch that can be used at the same cost as the public launch. Summer Hours are now in effect at The Hyperactive Marina. 2019 is our seventh summer of providing budget-friendly summer fun on Chestermere Lake, managed and staffed by local summer students. We rent Stand-up Paddleboards, Kayaks, Pedal Boats, canoes, and new for 2019 a selection of Hobie Watersports products from our partners at Glenmore Sailboats. We are the only lakeside location in southern Alberta that offers Stand Up Paddleboard rentals at a venue where you can get “geared-up” and go right onto the water from our docks. All rentals are for use from our Marina only and cannot be taken to shore or transported to other places.

For the safety of our valued patrons, staff may not allow rentals onto the lake due to wind, rain, possible lightening. storms etc. We understand that it could be disappointing if you visit our location but are not able to enjoy the lake due to poor weather conditions. Please understand that this is for the safety of participants!

We do not offer instruction or lessons beyond the basics. Our staff will do their best to make sure you are enjoying the best piece of equipment for your skill level.

We do not rent powerboats. There will be boats seen around our docks but they are all privately owned and not for rent.
