2013 Liquid Force TC Custom
When he’s not traveling the globe on the Amazing Race, or coaching the US Snowboard team, high performance skim style wake surf riding is Tommy Czeschin’s passion. He’s worked with our crew to create the ultimate machine to help him rip the wake all day long. Tested in his home waters of Crowley Lake, CA the TC Custom Skim is the performance board that die-hard skim surfers have been begging us to create; designed to surf the wake but with an aggressive, skate/skim style. This little lightweight rocket ship will let you explore the wake and create unique lines like nothing else in our line.
2013 Liquid Force Doum Skim - Dominic Lagace continues to be our global ambassador for the sport of wakesurfing. No rider travels the world as much as Doum to spread his love of shredding the lip of boat wakes! Whether he’s riding in a contest or teaching a first timer, the pure stoke that he has for the sport is contagious! His top selling board is back with some new artwork and remains the ultimate high performing, yet highly durable skim surfer in our line. Busting huge airs, spinning, shuving, and doing it all again switch stance… the sky is the limit with this brand new design! Hi-5!
2013 Liquid Force Noserider - Featuring a true longboard shape & style, the Nose-rider is ultra smooth… Whether you enjoy cruising, hanging ten or getting a bit more aggressive with your turns, this board will not disappoint. Great for the first timer looking to let go of the rope!
2013 Hyperlite Broadcast
The best selling wake surf series has just gotten better! With an all-new shape designed and tested by Scott Bouchard and Brian Grubb, the Broadcast provides great performance for any ability level. The Dual Concave base feature and new rocker line provide a fast responsive ride. It allows advanced riders to air out and generate speed for rotational tricks while beginner and intermediate riders can maintain the momentum and stay in the sweet spot of the curl. The Machined EVA deck pad provides maximum traction and is a feature usually reserved for the North Shore.
2013 Hyperlite Shim
Brian Grubb has quietly become one of the best wakesurfers in the sport and now with the help of Scott “Butch” Bouchard, he has a shape to call his own. To complement Grubb’s style on the endless wave, Butch shaped an all-new hybrid design. Combining the two most popular styles of wakesurfer, the skim and traditional surf style, the Shim is perfect for intermediate to advanced riders looking to take their skills to the next level. The Shim has a fast rocker allowing it to carry speed anywhere on the curl and its shorter profile makes it super maneuverable for rotational and air tricks. This new shape also features our all new Dura-shell technology which combines the buoyancy and feel of a high-end EPS board and the durability of a compression molded shape. Overall, this new board is the best of all worlds and one that a wakesurf enthusiast can’t pass up.
2013 Hyperlite Landlock
The Landlock is geared for riders taking a slash for the first time, bigger riders, or just the toes on the nose mellower transitioned, tail heavy session. This fresh water creation features our softest/thickest rail with a concave top deck for that forgiving, laid-back soul turn.
2013 Byerly Volt
With the success of the Hazard series already under their belts, the team headed back to the shaping room to create the next generation of Byerly wakesurfers. Butch took many of the same features that made the first board such a huge success and turned them into the new compression molded Byerly Volt. The 4’10” Volt features minimal tail rocker and a dual concave base to make it a very fast shape that will keep riders driving into the sweet spot of the curl. The new tip fin is a great addition for advanced riders looking to have a little extra traction when riding the board switch. The tail fins offer a variety of mounting options allowing the board to be set up as a thruster, dual, tri or single fin set up making it perfect for any style of rider. Best of all, the Biolite compression molded construction provides superior durability without the hefty price tag of epoxy boards.
2013 Phase 5 Drew Diamond
After the Diamond’s initial debut at the Surf Expo last year, it became an instant hit. Compared to Drew’s original shape, the Diamond has a slightly noticable wider nose to mid-section that flows down to its most obvious feature – the diamond tail. This translates into a faster setup that is easier to hang in the sweet spot on small to mid sized waves. Brand new for 2013, the Diamond comes equipped with our hiPerformance™ traction setup. We’ve scratched the old pads and created an entirely new set of grip that preforms unlike anything else out there. Click here for more info on the new hiPerformance™ pad set.
“After riding the board for a full year I am blown away by the speed and quick response of the board when riding it. Being able to ride more weight on the back foot makes it feel more like traditional surfing. “
-Drew Danielo, 6x WWSC Champion
2013 Phase 5 Drew Pro
The 2013 Danielo Pro Carbon is the same exact board Drew created seven years ago to be his first pro model. It is a perfect blend of a high performance design and top-of-the-line composite technology. Featuring an overall slim, narrow outline, this board digs into the face of the wake very easily and the tail sits slightly deeper in the water compared to his Diamond shape. The Danielo Pro Carbon is ultra sensitive to the riders weight and feet adjustments while riding and therefore is very responsive and maneuverable. This shape is better for mid to large size waves due to its comparably smaller surface area in the tail vs the Diamond’s.
“After 7 years of being in the Phase 5 line up this board is still a proven winner. I can not think of anything to change on this shape to make it better, the rounded pintail allows this board to pop very fast for big airs. Still one of my favorite boards at Phase 5.” -Drew Danielo, 6x WWSC Champion
2013 Phase 5 Model X
Heading into its second year as one of the finest boards in the P5 lineup, the Model X. This board is designed to offer top-of-the-line performance, and unmatched surface (down the line) speed for larger riders. The Model X is a “fun shape” inspired board that offers a very stable surface area for the rider. We shaped the Model X with a single winged fish tail design for more speed, drive and control in the wave.
The Model X is one of the few P5 models that comes with a thruster (3) fin set-up, equipped with 2″ fins. This thruster fin set-up gives the rider maximum control of the board making it a great option for beginners and experienced riders alike. The Model X is 1″ thick, 58″ in length and wrapped in a full carbon lay-up making this the ultimate skim/surf hybrid unlike anything else!
2013 Phase 5 Oath
The Oath is P5′s brand new model for 2013. Designed specifically for the pro-level rider in mind, this bad-lad is built for maximum performance. The Oath has a well balanced, symmetrically twin shaped design that takes technical riding to the next level. This twin shaped design helps by making fakie landings easier offering more surface area under the back foot, allowing increased drive and speed out of technical tricks. The Oath is super floaty and generates tons of pop when airing out of the wave.
We gripped this puppy up with our brand new Performance traction pad set, and the end result is a fully functional, high performance wake surfer ready to take your riding to the next level.
2013 Phase 5 Trident Pro Carbon
The Trident has been redesigned for 2013. We removed the super wide belly towards the tail and gave it a nice profiled design throughout the entire board. The new tail design of the Trident looks as if the Model X, and the original Trident shape got together and this was their offspring. Similar to the X, the new Trident is shaped with a single wing combined with a mellow swallow tail. These improved features translate into a board with more control and hold in the wave, along with increased performance and maneuverability.
She still comes standardly equipped with our thruster, 2″ fin setup. We really encourage everyone to play around with the fin setup. Remove the center fin and ride it twin for a super fun, loose ride. Also try combining our 1″ fin, or small fakie fin as the center fin for just a hint more traction on the wave.
2013 Phase 5 Colt
The Colt is another one of our thruster-finned skim/surf hybrid boards. It was introduced last year, and had a very successful debut. The Colt is the same size as the Model X, but with a completely different approach to its design, offering an entirely different ride. There is less width under the front foot, resulting in a more pulled in, narrow nose design and has a squash shaped tail, giving the rider lots of drive and control from carving and executing turns. It’s 1″ thick buoyant core offers tons of float so it is easy to stay in the wave.
The Colt is completely hand made, just like the rest of the P5 line. The one thing that really sets the Colt apart from our other boards is it’s wood-grain finished deck for a super classy look. For 2013, the Colt now comes equipped with our brand new 2013 Performance traction setup, offering more control and beneficial features than ever!
2013 Phase 5 Razz
The Razz, introduced into the P5 lineup a few years ago, has gained a lot of popularity over the last year. The 56″ length and 1″ thickness makes the Razz a perfect blend of float and maneuverability for old dudes and young adults alike who are keen on hot-doggin’ a lot of bottom to top turns and really cutting loose on the wave. The Razz is equipped with a single 2″ fin setup for the perfect amount of stability and control while preserving the loose feeling that enables the rider to crank those never ending up & down turns.
The Razz is built utilizing our very own Composilte™ Construction. 2013 Phase 5 Prop
Back in 2003 when Phase 5 first came around, the initial board line-up consisted of the Oogle, Icon, and the Prop. To this day, the Prop remains one of our best selling models. The Prop is 3″ longer than is little sibling, the Icon. At 54″ in length, the Prop is the go to board for riders anywhere from 5’4″ – 6’2″ in height and in the 150–180 lb. weight range. If you can’t afford our high-end, full carbon boards, don’t sweat! Feel confident knowing this is the board Drew Danielo won his first two WWSC titles on.

2013 Phase 5 Oogle

2013 Phase 5 Icon
A P5 original, the Icon is made for the smaller sized rider who wants to learn how to surf on a skim style board. For 2013, we added a slight amount of width under the front foot, helping make it easier to stay in the wave. By shifting your weight to the front foot after drifting far behind the boat, the new, wider nose of the Icon will help gain more speed and get you back where the real push of the wave is. The added nose width increases the stability of the Icon making it easier to ride. The fine rail and gradual entry rocker makes the Icon fast and maneuverable.
The Icon is built utilizing our very own Composilte™ Construction. Unique to the industry, our Composilite™ building process has been pioneered, refined and perfected over the years, starting back in 1983. 2013 Phase 5 Scamp
The Scamp is designed exclusively for the youngest surfers in the family. This board has a great stable shape for any grom to learn on, yet is fast and responsive allowing plenty of room for progression. Learn how to surf with the 2″ fin, and then switch it up to the standard 1″ fin and take it to the next level!
